After obtaining the default judgment, we then sued the trucking company’s insurance company, which ultimately settled the case for $380,000.00.
2023- 18-wheeler sideswipe causing neck surgery— $575,000 settlement.
Our client was sideswiped by an 18-wheeler, resulting in very little damage to her vehicle and no damage to the defendant’s truck. The trucking company argued that the accident was too small to cause the client’s neck injury that result in a neck surgery. 2021—Slip & fall in a restaurant with fractured ankle—$500,000 settlement.
Our client, who was eating at a buffet with her family, slipped on a puddle of water as she was attempting to leave. The resulting fall fractured her ankle, requiring a hardware surgery. Our investigation discovered that a store employee saw the puddle fifteen minutes earlier but failed to clean it up or warn anyone of the hazard.
